InfoStream 2000 can compress and encode print files.
If compression is chosen, the size of the files is made smaller and can be sent over the network causing less network traffic.

The user can set this up in his JobTicket preferences, so that any print file will be compressed during the transfer.

Compare a print file compressed/uncompressed, for example:

Print job file uncompressed = 268 kb
Print job file compressed = 71 kb

Another advantage is during compressing the files are additionally encoded.
Like this, the files are protected from unauthorized access. The print files can be decoded or unpacked only with the PrintManager.
