Mode of operation
With the JobTicket the relevant printing functions for the printing job are chosen and sent to a printing inbox directory on the file server , which is controlled by the PrintManager.
In the Jobticket the personal master data of each user is stored.
These user informations are sent with the real print job. Thes user address informations can then be printed on a separate jobinfo page.
PostScript print files can be compressed with the "JobTicket“ during the transfer to the PrintManager.
Thereby the network load is reduced during the transfer and storage place is saved at the file server. While the Compression is switched on, the print file is also encoded and can the be processed only with the PrintManager.
Printing orders can be encoded with a personal password and sent to the PrintManager. Now the printing can only be done with the the user`s password (decentral use).
PostScript files can be printed on a form or watermark which is stored on the printer.
Besides PostScript print files also document files from MS-Word (*.doc), MS-Excel (*.xls), MS-PowerPoint (*.ppt) and Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) can be sent to an application directory on the file server. With the PrintManager you can open an external program for the processing of these files.
Optionally, PostScript files can be sent to a project (project directory set up by the optional ProjectManager) with the JobTicket. The compilation (FileMerge) of the PostScript print file is taken by the optional "ProjectManager.“
The available print options are dependant on the choice of the printer. They correspond to the subset of the whole printer functionality. Print options are:
Choice of the printer, single-sided, double-sided, brochure, stapling, sorting, paper size, paper colour, covers, slipsheets, number of copies etc.
