Imposing
The imposing module is an output software.
Creates layouts of 2 or 4 pages onto a single sheet, or helps printing pamphlets.
Eps files are processed to PostScript.
Therefore each page of a job must exist as EPS file. To do this, the original PostScript file must be converted.
This is done automatically with the help of Adobe Acrobat and Distiller. This software is needed additionally to the PrintManager.
The necessary steps are done and controlled by the PrintManager.

The user creates his document and sends it with the JobTicket to the PrintManager. |

In the PrintManager the module is started. |

Adobe Acrobat creates automatically EPS files. |

In the module the wanted output scheme is chosen and sent to the printer. |
Output Scheme and Settings

1-up = one page on one sheet 2-up = two identical same pages on one sheet (double use) 4-up = four identical same pages on one sheet (four times use) Pamphlet = Book or brochure print. The pages are put together one after the other respectively |

Bottom left = pages are ranged left Center = the pages are centered in the middle of the page Close = the pages are arranged at the outside edge of the page. Additionally the print picture can be moved 0 – 5 mm with a controller |
