Operation sequence
The JobTicket user (author of a document) creates on his local PC a PostScript or PDF file of his document. With the InfoStream software "JobTicket“ , the user can set up different printing options or finishing options for his printing order (PostScript file, PDF).
The print file is sent together with the printing order description (Print ticket) to the PrintManager in the central reproduction department. The user doesn't need to deal with printer defined specifications. He gives general printing orders . On a PC in the central reproduction department, the PrintManager is loaded. This program automatically shows the printing orders which came in on the file server. The operator can now call up the printing orders according to the order they arrived or, if needed, can change the order.
According to the configuration of the PrintManager the print jobs of the users can also be sent out directly to a local printer (on the floor).
